Ochil Astronautics Awarded Cyber Security Grant

The funding, provided by ScotlandIS, helps businesses achieve Cyber Essentials certification.

26th May 2025 – Ochil Astronautics has received funding of £1,000 to support them in achieving Cyber Essentials (CE) certification.

The grant, provided by ScotlandIS through the Scottish Government and supported by Technology Scotland, CeeD and the National Robotarium, will help more technology and manufacturing organisations achieve CE accreditation.

The accreditation is a government-backed certification scheme that helps organisations keep their and their customers’ data safe from cyberattacks.

Stuart Preston, CEO and Founder of Ochil Astronautics, said: “Cyber security is vital for our company. The space industry can be a big target for cyber criminals and protecting the company’s IP is vitally important to ensuring success. So, receiving this grant has been great to make sure we’re secure and can sleep soundly about the company in its formative years. I recommend start-ups in the tech industry jump at this opportunity kindly supplied by the Scottish Government.”
