Ochil Astronautics Selected to Showcase at London Tech Week
Space AgTech business, Ochil Astronautics, will be showcasing on the Barclays platform at London Tech Week.
28th May 2025 – Ochil Astronautics has been selected by banking giant, Barclays, to showcase on their exclusive platform as part of London Tech Week – a flagship event for the technology industry.
The space AgTech business will be present on Day 2 of the event (10 June 2025) which aims to place a spotlight on UK space businesses to watch. Ochil Astronautics will take the stage alongside Space Forge from Cardiff to show some of their hardware and hyrdoponics solution.
Led by engineer and RAF veteran, Stuart Preston, Ochil Astronautics is on a mission to bring fresh food to space, creating an innovative solution that will help to extend the length of time astronauts can spend outside Earth’s atmosphere. This solution will not only focus on feeding astronauts and tourists, but increasing morale by addressing ‘ration fatigue’.
This opportunity comes following a 6-month enrolment in the Veteran Founders and Funding Readiness programmes through Barclays Eagle Labs, which saw Preston speaking on an industry panel at a Space Network event and being awarded a grant from ScotlandIS.
Speaking about the event, Preston said: “It’s an honour to be selected as one of the few businesses to showcase on the Barclays platform during this prestigious event. Taking part in the Barclays programmes have been an incredible springboard to help me take my business to the next level. I’m very grateful for all the continued support I’ve had over the last 8 months and I can’t wait to see where we go next.”
London Tech Week takes place 9-13 June 2025 at the Olympia and brings together the global tech ecosystem with investment, innovation and talent.
